Ashley Prendergast is a tax partner in the Atlanta office, specializing in the areas of real estate taxation, nonprofit organizations and affordable housing. Ashley has a passion for helping those less fortunate and sharing policy ideas affecting the affordable housing industry.
Ashley has more than 10 years of experience in tax planning and compliance for multifamily real estate, commercial real estate and construction companies. She has extensive knowledge of tax credit programs at the federal and state levels, including low-income housing tax credits and historic tax credits. Her focus is partnership and individual tax law. Ashley also reviews, implements and applies cost segregation studies.
Additionally, Ashley is a key member of the tax leadership team and excels at training, supervising and mentoring the Tidwell Group tax team. She also works with the IRS and other governmental agencies in resolving issues that impact her clients.
Ashley is co-chair of Women’s Affordable Housing Network, an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) organization that provides support and encouragement to women working in the industry. The Network provides women the opportunity to moderate panels and facilitate discussions among industry professionals, including representatives from government agencies, lenders and other financial institutions, investors, developers and nonprofit organizations.
Before joining Tidwell Group, Ashley worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and other national accounting firms. She is a native of Charlotte, N.C., and moved to the Atlanta area in 2013.
